Charles William Bishop is an American director, who was the director in Theodore Tugboat and has been President of Production and Development of DHX Media Ltd. since March 2009. Mr. Bishop has been of President of Production amd Development of DHX Media Ltd. since May 2009. Mr. Bishop serves as Vice President of Production of Salter Street Films Ltd. (Canada). Mr. Bishop serves as the President of the Halifax Film Division of DHX Media Ltd. He served as Secretary of DHX Media Ltd. Mr. Bishop operated his own production company, Charles Bishop ... Productions, for 18 years until 1998 when Charles Bishop Productions was sold to Salter Street Films. While with Salter Street Films, he managed its production slate, including the notable series Made in Canada / The Industry, Emily of New Moon, This Hour Has 22 Minutes and The Awful Truth. In 2001, he accepted the position of production head, overseeing television series (fiction) worldwide for Alliance Atlantis. Mr. Bishop has been a Director of Dhx Media Ltd. since February 12, 2004. He has three Canadian Gemini Awards and numerous international awards. He attended NSCAD and the Canadian Film Centre.
