Plot

Theodore and Hank are heading home after a long day of working. Theodore is enjoying listening to all the sounds coming from all around the harbour. That is until Hank is counting thirteen rocks covered in seaweed quite loudly. It even surprises Benjamin Bridge who was sleeping. Hank wants to race with Theodore to Cobequid Cove. As much as Theodore wants to, he knows they have to be back at the Great Ocean Tug and Salvage Company dock before dusk. But Hank convinces him that it would take eighteen minutes. Finally, Theodore gives in and races Hank to Cobequid Cove.

Unfortunately, it takes longer than eighteen minutes for Theodore to get to Cobequid Cove as Hank got their first. Theodore know he has to get back to the dock right away as the sun is setting. But he also knows he can't leave Hank at the cove, as he might be in trouble. So, Theodore turns his engine off and floats into the cove. He floats past an old rusty cable ship named Kamel, who is dead and has no eyes. Then he floats past twisted trees growing out of rocks. Theodore is starting to feel scared as he floats deeper into the cove. And it gets darker. He calls for Hank, but there is no answer. Suddenly, he sees a terrifying shape in the water. Theodore thinks it's a crocodile and reverses away from it quick. Then he bumps into Hank who was loudly counting rocks, and his lifeboat is starting to fall off because Theodore bumped him. But he doesn't know that. Theodore is still shaking in fear, and he doesn't know if he should be happy or angry. But then, Theodore and Hank hear a terrifying sound that echos around the entire cove. They run out of the cove as fast as they can, but as soon as they find their way out, Hank's lifeboat splashes into the water and floats back into the cove.

The next morning, Hank is severely reprimanded by the Dispatcher for losing his lifeboat and is to stay put at the dock, while Theodore is forced to work double duty until Hank's lifeboat is found, and is ordered to meet George at Cobequid Cove. The Dispatcher warns Theodore not to be late again, or he will stay put at the dock as well. Theodore doesn't want to go back to the cove, as he was having bad dreams about that awful sound, but he has no choice.

As he arrives, he sees George tied to a ship named Margaree Pride who was right in front of the cove. Pearl also heads inside it. Theodore asks George if he should button on, but George dismisses Theodore's help as Margaree Pride isn't carrying any cargo and takes the ship himself. Theodore is happy at first that he doesn't need to be near the cove anymore, but then Pearl calls his name from inside. Theodore goes in, but with the sun shining, and the sea gulls on the rocks, he sees that it isn't all that scary. He sees Pearl in the place where he thought he saw the crocodile and is about to warn her, but then he sees that the crocodile was really a tree that fell into the water. Pearl tells Theodore to move it out of the way so that small boats don't run into it and sets off out of the cove. Theodore ties his tow rope onto the tree and is about to leave, when he sees Hank's lifeboat. He's about to retrieve it, but then he hears that scary sound again. Theodore thinks it's coming from the lifeboat, and is about to run away, but then he remembers seeing Hank's sad face when he left. Theodore wants to get it, but he also remembers the Dispatcher reminding him not to be late again. Theodore comes to the conclusion that Hank's lifeboat will have to wait another day, but then he remembered the tree he's pulling wasn't a crocodile and begins to wonder about the sound he heard the night before. Suddenly, he sees something. And he moves closer and sees a tiny bullfrog croaking on a rock. Theodore soon realizes that it was the bullfrog that made that loud sound the night before, and bursts into laughter and can't wait to tell Hank everything. And with Hank's lifeboat on his bow, he heads back home to the dock still laughing.
